God has been depicted multiple times on the screen, but never like in upcoming comedy series Miracle Workers. For one thing, the creator is played by Steve Buscemi as a disinterested and jaded figure, uninterested in life on Earth and ready to pull the plug and concentrate on other projects. The seven-part Stan comedy also stars Daniel Radcliffe as Craig and rising Australian actress Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers) as Eliza, two employees of Heaven, which is shown to be just like any other workplace, with bureaucracy, politics and co-workers you can’t stand.

Can Craig and Eliza stop God from destorying Earth by answering the prayers of two humans? That’s their challenge in Miracle Workers, which is based on the novel What In God’s Name by Simon Rich.

Miracle Workers debuts on Stan on Wed., Feb. 13, 2019.
