My Kitchen Rules contestant Lesley has ANOTHER man in her life – fiancé, Bobby. And they have the cutest engagement story.
They make a formidable team in the kitchen – and they’re currently second on the leaderboard. But away from MKR, Lesley has someone other than cooking partner Chris, 57, as her Number One Main Main – her fiance, Bobby.
“Bobby and I have been together five years, moving in together in 2019,” the first class flight attendant tells WHO.
“And an engagement! [It was] an unexpected twist of fate – a great love affair – so late in life. There is hope for us all!”
Lesley says her fiance’s proposal took her completely by surprise.
“I don’t have a ring – because he bought me a house!” she tells WHO.
At the time, the 50 year-old was going through a property settlement with her ex.
“On that particular day, which was the 26th of November last year, he went down to the Titles Office to make sure the settlement went through,” she explains. “He put the house in my name only. He paid off my ex!”
It was a grand gesture – and one that Lesley admits blew her away.
“He said, ‘Lesey, it’s time for you to have the security you have always wanted and that you deserve,” she says.
The effervescent blonde had champagne on ice for when her other-half got home.
“I thought we were going to be celebrating the fact the house now belongs to me – [that] I’m free of the past, [and that] we’re free to do what we want to do,” she adds.
“We had talked about marriage, but I didn’t expect a proposal!”
Bobby surprised his partner with a beautiful bouquet of white lilies.
“I’m fussing around, and he’s going, ‘Lesey, just hold on,” she explains. “He goes down on one bended knee – of course I knew what was happening!
“His exact words were, ‘Will you do me the honor of not only being my wife, but my bride?’ And then he started crying so hard he couldn’t get up! So I then went down on one knee and we just had a hug on our knees!”
