Nicolas Cage has broken his ankle on the set of the upcoming movie #211 in Bulgaria, Variety confirms.
The 53-year-old actor was taken to a hospital near the film’s set, but was then flown back to Los Angeles for treatment.
It is not yet known how the incident occurred, but it has been reported by Deadline as a “freak accident”.
Cage is set to return back to filming the heist flick in two weeks.
