Outlander actress Caitriona Balfe confirmed her engagement less than a week ago, but the star has opened up to WHO exclusively as she walked down the Red Carpet with her sparkler very much insight at the Golden Globes.
The star who was eager to show off her three-stone diamond engagement ring after arriving directly from Australia.
Balfe, 38, revealed she has just returned from an Australian vacation where her long-time boyfriend Tony McGill surprised her with a romantic proposal in Sydney.
While the pair managed to stay under the radar while on holiday, she told WHO that she nearly missed the ceremony as the happy couple arrived back in L.A. with serious stomach bugs.
“I’m not blaming it on Sydney,” she was quick to clarify, “but it really knocked me out and I wasn’t sure I’d make it a few days ago.”
Although, judging by her gorgeous presence on the Red Carpet it appears the actress is well and truly feeling better.
