Pamela Anderson’s love life is about to become the topic of great public interest once more, when a spotlight is shone on her turbulent marriage to Tommy Lee in the new Pam & Tommy series.

Just as the show, kicks off on Disney Plus, the 54-year-old actress has filed for divorce from her fifth husband after her “pandemic whirlwind” romance with her Canadian bodyguard came to an end, according to Rolling Stone who announced the split.
“Pamela loves as authentically as she lives,” a source told Rolling Stone of her relationship history and recent break-up.
Of course, Pamela’s relationship history is well known around the world with the actress and model’s dating life regularly making global headlines. And all eyes will be on her relationships as the new Hulu Original Series Pam & Tommy premieres next month.

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee (1994 – 1998 and 2008 – 2010)
The Baywatch actress and Mötley Crüe drummer met on New Year’s Eve in 1994 at Hollywood’s Sanctuary Club. In an interview with Movieline the following year, Anderson revealed Lee “came up, grabbed me and licked my face.”
“I thought he was a cool, friendly, nice guy. I gave him my number,” she said of their encounter.
The musician spent two months pursuing Anderson – later comparing his actions to a “stalker” – and flew down to Cancun where she was staying at the Ritz-Carlton, working on a photoshoot.
Only their second-ever encounter, Lee and Anderson spent 72 hours partying before he proposed. They tied the knot on the beach the very next day, on February 19, 1995.
Later that month the newlywed couple faced their first scandal when a sex tape was stolen from their Malibu home, a story set to be highlighted in the new Pam & Tommy series. The couple didn’t know the tape had been stolen until it was reported in media.
Despite trying to reclaim the tape and sue the culprit, Rand Gauthier, a judge ruled they had “signed away the rights” to the tape by making it public (even though it was not their choice to do so).
After being uploaded to subscription pornography website Club Love, the tape was turned into VHS and DVD copies and made an estimated $77 million in one year. At that point in time, Anderson and Lee did not receive any royalties from the stolen tape. In 2014, Gauthier claimed to not have made a cent.
Eventually, the couple entered into a confidential settlement agreement with IEG. And they would later receive $740,000 each in 2002, when the same judge from their first hearing awarded them a default judgment in their 1998 copyright infringement and invasion-of-privacy lawsuits.
The couple became parents together when they welcomed sons Brandon Thomas Lee, born in 1996 and Dylan Jagger Lee in 1997.
In an interview with the New York Post, Lee sensationally claimed that having children was part of the reason for their split. “When Dylan was born, I dropped down to No. 3. Now I was full-on nonexistent. And I couldn’t deal with that,” he said.
The musician was arrested and sentenced to six months in jail for spousal battery after assaulting his wife in February 1998, while she was holding their son. Upon his release Anderson told court reporters: “I’m very proud of Tommy. I’m happy he took responsibility for this. And I think it’s the first step towards healing.”
A few days after the incident, Anderson filed for divorce with their split finalised in May 1998. In 1999 there were talks of them getting back together, and the pair would lead an on-off relationship for some years to come.
A decade after their divorce, Lee confirmed he was giving things another shot with Anderson. “We’ve only given it a try 800 times — 801, here we go,” Lee told Rolling Stone.
Their rekindled romance lasted from 2008 to 2010, when they called it quits for a final time.
Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock (2001 – 2003 and 2006)
Following her 1998 split from Lee, Anderson briefly became engaged to model Marcus Schenkenberg but broke up with him in 2001.
Shortly after that she began dating singer Kid Rock and became engaged in 2002, before splitting for the first time in 2003. But three years later they would get married on a yacht in Saint-Tropez, France, on July 29, 2006.
Four months later in November, it was announced the actress had miscarried while she was in Vancouver shooting Blonde and Blonder. Two weeks later Anderson filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon (2007 – 2008 and 2013 to 2015)
Anderson married poker player Rick Salomon in October 2007 at The Mirage in Las Vegas. They sought an annulment in December, which was finalised in early 2008.
In 2013 – after Pamela had reunited with Tommy Lee – they decided to give their relationship a second chance. They married again in January 2014, with Anderson filing for a second divorce shortly after. However, they decided to stay together and work through their marital issues (only to finalise their divorce in April, 2015).
At the time, TMZ shared an email Anderson had allegedly sent detailing her issues with her husband. “We are not compatible sexually. I’m frustrated and bored,” she wrote.

Tying the knot with Peters was “destiny” for Anderson, at the time. The pair had initially met in the 1980s when she was an up-and-coming actress. Peters had proposed to Anderson, though she turned him down due to their 22 year age difference.
Then, decades later, the pair rekindled and married in a private ceremony in Malibu in January 2020. They never obtained a marriage certificate and called it quits less than two weeks later.
“I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union,” Anderson said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another.
“Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalisation of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”
Their split later got ugly in the media, with Peters claiming he had paid off Anderson’s debts before she swiftly ended their marriage.
“I dropped everything for Pam,” he told the New York Post’s Page Six in February 2020. “She had almost $200,000 in bills and no way to pay it, so I paid it and this is the thanks I get. There’s no fool like an old fool.”

Rumours of a fling between Anderson and Hayhurst first arose in late 2020, with sources telling Page Six that she was having a “sexy tryst” with her security guard.
“He’s in his 40s. A real man, finally,” a source reportedly told the publication. “He knows how to handle her. It’s very cool to see. She’s completely comfortable, and they’re never out of each other’s sight.”
They wed on Christmas Eve in 2020, with Anderson taking their relationship offline in January 2021 as she revealed she no longer wanted to be on social media while living a new phase of her life.
“I’ve never been interested in social media. And now that I’m settled into the life I’m genuinely inspired by, reading and being in nature, I am free,” she wrote to her 1.2 million followers.

As the new series prepares to launch, Anderson has distanced herself from the Hulu Original AND her ex-husband.
In 2018, following an incident where Brandon and Tommy had a physical altercation, Anderson called him a “narcissist.”
“Nobody understands the lifetime of disappointment this man has brought our family,” she wrote in a blog post. “Consistently the centre of sadness, drama and confusion. Jealous of his sons’ talent and beauty from the day they were born. He is sick. The definition of narcissist/sociopath.
“It’s terrible and unfortunately he has made this private matter very public. I have always tried only to set record straight. Trying to paint him as not a bad guy. Just one who is human and made mistakes.
“He still cannot handle the guilt about his abusive behaviour and has never taken responsibility for what he has done. Let’s hope this will be his saving grace.”
And, when asked about the series’ announcement in 2020, Anderson responded via a representative. “Pamela has no intention of watching this God awful show, absolutely not. Never,” her rep told The Sun.
“She’s never heard of the actors playing her or Tommy and doesn’t care to know them… She and her family think the show is a cheap knockoff.”
Lee, however, has shown support for the Lily James and Sebastian Stan-led docuseries.
