In a 2012 interview, less than one year after his brother, Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in London, the Duke of Sussex revealed to US journalist Katie Couric that his older brother’s wedding day was a “blur” to him because he was so nervous.
“I heard there was this small intimate wedding at Westminster Abbey…” Couric teased Harry.
“You said you were as nervous as your brother at the time?”
Prince Harry replied: “I was massively nervous.
“Everyone was nervous.
“The whole thing was a bit of blur to be honest.
“There was god know how many billions of eyes on us, luckily many on those two.”
Indeed, a staggering 23 million people watched the Duke of Cambridge and Catherine’s wedding. However, seven years later, that number was beaten by Prince Harry’s nuptials to Meghan Markle at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, which drew in 29.2 million viewers.
