As previously reported on WHO, the wedding reception included a first dance to Whitney Houston’s ’80s hit I Wanna Dance With Somebody, a few sweet speeches and the cutting of the infamous wedding cake, designed by Claire Ptak of Violet Bakery. The cake featured an elderflower-flavoured light sponge cake made specially for the couple, and also had a filling made from Amalfi lemon curd and elderflower buttercream.

Dessert wasn’t the only exciting thing on the menu – guests were also served canapes, included Scottish langoustines, grilled asparagus and croquette of confit lamb.

Pol Roger champagne was flowing to mark the joyous occasion, alongside soft drinks and elderflower cordial which is produced on the estate.

And as mentioned above, official wedding Speeches were made by both the cheerful groom, Harry and the father of the groom Prince Charles – one guest even told PEOPLE magazine how Harry spoke about Meghan and referred to her as his wife for the first time!

“He was talking about his wife and you know everybody was clapping because it was the first time he was using that term for Meghan so it was really nice.’’ she said.

People magazine reported Prince Charles gave a heartfelt speech. “He ended it calling him, ‘My darling old Harry, I’m so happy for you,’’ a guest said.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
