While everyone may have been preoccupied with Meghan Markle’s return to the public eye at the Trooping of the Colour in London on Saturday to honour the Queen’s 93rd birthday, Prince Louis should have been the one we all had our eye on.
Watch Prince Louis steal the show at Trooping the Colour:
The royal tot stole the show with his adorable wave as the entire royal family gathered around Queen Elizabeth on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to witness the Red Arrows flypast.
However, eagle-eyed royal fans would have noticed that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s youngest child, Prince Louis was wearing an outfit that looked very familiar.
Louis was dressed in a white and blue patterned shirt and blue socks for his balcony debut – the exact same outfit his uncle Prince Harry wore to the Trooping the Colour in 1986.
This isn’t the first time one-year-old Louis and his siblings, Prince George, five and Princess Charlotte, four have paid tribute to their relatives.
Four years ago Prince George wore the same blue outfit his father Prince William had worn at Trooping the Colour in 1984.
This year’s Trooping the Colour marked the first royal engagement the Duchess of Sussex has attended since going on maternity leave after giving birth to son Archie Harrison at the beginning of May.
The new mum smiled and waved to the crowd as she sat beside husband, prince Harry on the carriage ride to Buckingham Palace. The couple were also joined by the Duchess of Cambridge and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
