The Sun’s former royal editor Duncan Larcombe tells Yahoo UK’s ‘The Royal Box’ that the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William always carry a supply of their own blood when travelling.

“If it’s the Queen, Prince Charles or Prince William, they’ll have the royal physician with them, with a bag full of their own blood, just in case something happens,” Larcombe explained.

The Queen is, of course, the current monarch, while Prince Charles and Prince William are the next in line to the throne, therefore making the decision to have an emergency supply of blood on hand a vital aspect to preserving the line of succession.

And it’s set to be a busy few weeks of travel for both Prince Charles and wife Camilla, as well as William and Kate Middleton and Harry and Meghan.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will be making a trip to the southern hemisphere in the coming weeks to visit New Zealand. Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be undergoing an official visit to Pakistan, while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will head to Africa.
