“Meghan has struggled with the intensity of the spotlight,” a royal source told People.
“Although she is a former actress, this is on a different level.”
The report follows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s increasing attempts to keep elements of their lives private. They broke royal protocol earlier this month by making the christening of their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor private, choosing to release only two carefully staged pictures of the ceremony to the public.
The royal couple also refused to release the names of Archie’s godparents.
Despite the pressure, Meghan, 37 has been very active of late. Attending the Women’s Singles Final at Wimbledon with sister-in-law Kate Middleton and also the premiere of the live-action remake of The Lion King alongside husband Prince Harry.
