Salim Mehajer involved in car accident on his way to court

Salim Mehaher was involved in a car accident on his way to Sydney court this morning.

The former Auburn deputy mayor was travelling to court to face assault charges when the “relatively serious” crash occurred, his lawyer says.

According to news outlets Mehajer’s driver was behind the wheel.

Mehajer was to face trial for allegedly robbing and assaulting a taxi driver outside the Star Casino in March.
