“There have been a lot of mental health issues within our family, stuff we have struggled with ourselves,” she continued.

“A lot of people have reached out to me because I have been publicly open about my struggles. I wanted to create a platform where people can share stories to feel like they are not alone, to have a sense of community.

Sam, who is currently in a relationship with boyfriend Dave Bashford, previously admitted how she sought therapy following her appearances on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette and her failed radio career.

She has also spoken out about how she struggles with the pressures of social media.

“Social media can be a really lonely place,” she said.

“People are constantly comparing their lives to unrealistic realities. For young women growing up, I can’t even imagine what it would be like going through high school with Instagram. I am so glad I missed that.

“I cannot imagine the pressure that puts on kids in schoolyards so I think there really is an audience that can benefit from something like Believe.”
