Sam Frost is Australia’s sweetheart. After falling in love with her on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette – the nation was swept away when she joined Summer Bay as Home and Away’s newest face. Now she can add a new title to her name: Ambassador of Australia’s richest race – The Everest.
How did you feel when you were asked the be the Ambassador of The Everest Carnival?
I’m incredibly honoured to be The Everest Ambassador this year. I love dressing up and going to the races and to be asked to be the Ambassador for The Everest, the richest turf race in the world is a true honour!
What race day trends are you loving this year?
It’s not a special trend this year, but I love a veil. I just think it is something so race centric! I have been wearing Nerida Winter to the last races.
Do you have a beauty prep regime leading up to race day?
This week I will definitely drink more water than usual and do a little fake tan on Friday night!
What are you planning on wearing for the day?
I think we’re going to go a pant suit or jumpsuit, but I have not had a fitting yet so surprise for me too at the moment! Michael Azzolini styles me for the races and he has been bringing the goods lately! He brings a bunch of options and then we choose together, but I leave the fashion up to him!
What are your tips on making your look last throughout the day?
As I have not seen my wardrobe yet it is tricky to say! However, my makeup artist Heidi Scarlet King I trust with everything and will take her advice on how to make my look last. No doubt I will go natural but maybe a bold lip or eye, you can’t do both, so will choose one or the other on the day!
What will we find in your handbag?
I always bring another lip stick, lip gloss and a cotton tip, just in case my mascara runs! I actually take these items everywhere!
Any tips on actually surviving races day
Have fun, be comfortable and dress for the legality – A little champagne and a dance doesn’t hurt anyone!
Thoughts on The Bachelor
I do feel for the girls. I think it’s a pretty poor effort on behalf of Nick. You have to be quite vulnerable to do The Bachelor. These poor girls let their walls down and let him in only for him to say he’s not ready. You probably should have thought about that before you signed on to be the bachelor. I will say I do think that it is quite brave of Nick to just say “I’m not feeling it” knowing that there would have been backlash.
