Samuel Johnson has officially been honoured as the 2018 Victorian Australian of the Year, following his impressive work raising funds for cancer research.
The Molly star received the award during a ceremony in Melbourne on October 27.
Johnson has been praised for his advocacy for cancer research since his sister Connie was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
In 2013, he rose 15,465kms around Australia on a unicycle — earning a world record, in order to raise funds for the Garvan Research Foundation.
The actor then went on to co-found a new organisation, Love Your Sister, alongside the late Connie. Thus far, their charity has raised a whopping $7 million for cancer research.
While Johnson won the gold Logie for his role as Molly Meldrum in the Channel 7 documentary, he has revealed he refuses to continue acting until his charity hits $10 million.
The star lost his sister Connie on September 9 and has vowed to make the funds in honour of her.
