They established their double act credentials at 2018’s Emmy Awards, and Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg proved their comic chemistry once again ahead of hosting this week’s Golden Globes (airs Mon., Jan. 7 from 11am; FOX8) in a batch of recently released videos.
In the promotional clips, the Killing Eve star, who is nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series – Drama, and the lead in police sitcom Brooklyn Nine Nine proved why they were an inspired choice to helm the awards show, with Oh’s dry wit and Samberg’s sillier sense of humour a good fit.
In one video, the pair talk about whether they will discuss the “elephant in the room” at the Golden Globes, while in another, they practise their “best friends” handshake.
They may see calm about the high-profile hosting gig, but Oh, for one, admits to nerves. “Oh my God, I’m terrified! I am super thrilled, so it’s the good terror,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s like when you have to do something and you can’t see how you could possibly pull it together, but that uncertainty excites you.”
