Sarah Hyland spent time in hospital over the weekend for a mystery illness.
The Modern Family star – who has a well-documented chronic kidney condition – shared several Instagram posts from her hospital bed, where she was watched over by her fiancé Wells Adams.
“ER but make it fashion,” the 28-year-old wrote alongside a selfie from her hospital bed.

The actress also shared a series of videos of her and Adams. 35 playing with filters.
While Hyland didn’t give any information as to why she was in hospital she has previously been open about her kidney dysplasia diagnosis. The actress underwent a second kidney transplant in September 2017, days after her first date with Adams.

And back in June, the American star spent three days in hospital after suffering Chest pains and feeling like she “couldn’t breathe.”
“I was like, ‘Maybe it’s just a coincidence. Maybe there’s something actually medically wrong with me,’” Hyland told her Instagram followers at the time. “So, I got to the ER after a very long day of work with lots of makeup on, and I just got home from Friday night. They ran multiple tests multiple time[s]. There’s nothing physically wrong with me. So, [I] wonder why I was there.”
Hyland and Adams – who rose to fame on the US version of The Bachelorette – announced their engagement back in June.
“That can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff @wellsadams,” Sarah wrote alongside a photo showing her hand covering her mouth as he proposed.
“It takes two! Well 5 including the doggos! Love you more bab….fiancé!” Wells commented.
Sarah and the Bachelorette alum first sparked dating rumours in 2016 after flirting on Twitter, however didn’t get together until midway through 2017.
Earlier this year, the Modern Family actress— who played Haley Dunphy in the popular sitcom— opened up about her health struggles and how her second kidney transplant overlapped with the beginning of her romance with wells. Although they had only known each other for three days, Sarah said her transplant brought them closer together.
“It was a really intimate start to a relationship to have to go through those hurdles at the very, very, very beginning when you’re just even getting to know a person,” the 28-year-old said. “Also, falling in love with someone before you can really be intimate. I did not believe that that was a thing, but it is.”
She added: “He’s seen me at my worst. I think that’s why I feel the most beautiful in his eyes, because he still finds me beautiful after seeing all that.”
