Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa is expecting her first child with husband Tarek and the pregnancy couldn’t be more of a happy surprise.

Heather won fans over on the streaming hit and was open about her and Tarek’s plans to have children together.
The couple announced the happy news on Instagram on Thursday, posting a series of romantic maternity snaps with the caption: “Surprise!!! Baby El Moussa coming early 2023!!”

They had been in the process of going through in vitro fertilization treatments, with plans to have an embryo implanted next year, when they found out they were already expecting.
“It was a huge shock. We just weren’t expecting this. We had just gone through IVF. We had embryos on ice. We had a plan,” Heather, 34, told People.
“I think when you least expect it and there’s no stress in your life, the world just brought us what was meant to be. I’m so excited that it happened like this.”
Heather discovered she was pregnant while filming her and Tarek’s new docu-series The Flipping El Moussas, with the child due early next year.
She first got a “weird feeling” that she may be pregnant while working and took five tests, the first two coming back with an “undetected” result.
But the third revealed she was “full-on pregnant” and she did two more, both returning positive results, before sharing the happy news with Tarek.
She surprised him with the positive tests in a gift box – though he initially mistook them for COVID-19 tests.
While this will be the couple’s first child together, the Selling Sunset star already considers herself a “bonus mum” to Tarek’s two children from a previous relationship.

He shares Taylor, 11 and Brayden, 6, with ex Christina Hall, but Heather happily took on the role of stepmum when she and Tarek wed in 2021.
“They’re such incredible kids and I love them so much,” she told People of the children.
In fact, she’s so committed to them that she and Tarek initially didn’t plan to have any other children together – but that changed after “building a life together”.
Heather and Tarek first started dating in 2019 after being introduced by mutual friends and announced their engagement the following year.
They tied the knot in a lavish outdoor ceremony in October 2021, with Heather confessing that the more she fell in love with Tarek and saw him with his kids, the more she wanted to have a child of her own with him.
“Seeing him with Taylor and Braden, he’s just so obsessed with them. And he’s such a doting, amazing dad. I can’t wait to see him with our baby,” she told People.
