Actress Selma Blair has handled her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis in an incredibly inspiring way. Since her diagnosis last year, Blair has kept her fans up to date on her progress, which has always been peppered with a little bit of cheek.
This time, quite literally.
Over the weekend, she posed nude for Instagram, showcasing the effects of her chemotherapy treatment. Hilariously, Blair covered her privates with a crab-shaped bag, which is another amazing joke within itself.
However, some prudes fans couldn’t really handle it.

“Sorry unfollowing,” wrote an Instagram user.
Selma replied, “is it something I said 😂?”
Another commenter said they didn’t understand why she would post a photo like that, suggesting that Blair hold on to her “dignity”. The actress explained her reasoning behind the confronting shot. “I think it’s a vulnerable, humorous, odd and interesting fashion shot,” she replied. “I like it.”
So do we.
In fact, Blair’s metaphorical ‘baldness’ on both ends suggests that she’s feeling pretty free after facing the battle of a lifetime.
MS, chemotherapy and online trolls won’t stop Selma from enjoying her life, especially during summer.
The Cruel Intentions actress recently posted a gorgeous poolside Instagram post showing off her hot body in an Eres red bikini, captioning the pic, “Sunday. Thank you. And thank you @jemmasands for my bracelets and rings. Summer staple. And my always favorite @eres bikini. Happy mom. ❤️ hugs to you all.”
Selma Blair’s MS condition attacks the central nervous system and affects the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves.
The star began her chemotherapy treatment in July, which is what has caused her to go bald. But she’s embraced it, and by the looks of it, is doing a lot better.
“Today is a banner day,” Blair wrote alongside a photo where she is standing tall with her Alinker bike (a walk assist bike). “I am being discharged from the care of an incredible team of nurses and techs and a visionary Dr. who believes in my healing as much as I do. This has been a process. And will continue to be one.
“I am immunocompromised for next three months at least. So no kisses please. I wanted to make sure all complications here were my private space. And we got through brilliantly.”
