The 38-year-old told the Herald Sun that she has always had an “uneasy” relationship with body image and confessed that she suffered from an eating disorder in the past.

After being the target of online abuse, Sarah was moved to “change her mindset” when it came to her body.

“In the past, I went through very dark times where I made myself sick to bring the numbers on the scales down, things that I am just not proud of,” Sarah sadly admitted.

In 2015, the Aussie TV host was bombarded with harsh emails and comments on social media from trolls mocking her for putting on “too much weight” while pregnant with her firstborn, Paul.

“I put on a lot of weight… I am one of those women that blew up,” Sarah admitted.

Being seven months pregnant at the time, Sarah was shocked at the amount of criticism she received online and decided to shame her trolls live on Studio 10.

The blonde beauty stated that she found their words “revolting,” and said, “On behalf of all the pregnant women out there, who might be feeling a little bit chubby, I want to say to the haters – get stuffed.”

The Australian TV star opened up about learning to love her body in an exclusive interview with WHO last year.

“When I was 25, it was all about how skinny can I be? Do I fit my skinny jeans? Now it’s like, how strong is my pelvic floor? Will, I wet myself when I sneeze? So your total approach to your body changes,” Sarah said.

“I’ve got a lot more body acceptance because I’ve seen what my body can do, in that it’s grown and delivered two children.”

When asked if she felt comfortable in her skin, Sarah replied:

“It’s amazing what you care about when you’re older. I have a newfound love for my body. You finally become comfortable with who you are. Your body is no longer just an ornament. As you get older, it’s an instrument. It’s something that carries you, that gives life.”

Sarah shares Paul, 3, and Harry, 1, with her husband of 5 years, Tom Ward.

The Studio 10 host is proud to be juggling a TV career and a family.

Last year, Sarah told WHO that having kids “completely opened up” her world.

“Obviously my career is so important, but these two little humans have given me a whole new perspective. Not all my happiness is derived from achieving at work so that’s balanced me in a way.”
