Never mind guessing who’s under the masks – the biggest mystery of The Masked Singer is whether Lindsay Lohan will return as a judge for season two.

Earlier this month, rumours started swirling that the 33-year-old was set to be axed from the second season of the show due to her diva behaviour. Although Ten bosses and Lindsay herself refuted the claims, a media analyst has now slammed the former Mean Girls star for “lowering the credibility” of the show.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential, media analyst Peter Cox said the American actress “lacked local knowledge.”

“I think it looks silly for the show and lowers the credibility of it. I don’t think she contributes anything to the show and she lacks local knowledge,” he said.

“She’s not able to guess who the right person is, not that it’s easy, but she keeps putting up LA people who couldn’t possibly be on the show.”

Cox’s comments follow confirmation from Channel Ten’s chief content officer Beverley McGarvey last week that all four judges – Dave Hughes, Jackie O, Dannii Minogue and Lindsay Lohan – will all return for the second season.

“Despite what you may have read, we will have exactly the same judging lineup and exactly the same host,” she told news.com.au.

Two weeks ago, Lindsay refuted claims that she was a diva on the set of The Masked Singer judging panel.

“There were some things that were said that weren’t a part of what was happening on the show,” she told The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“None of us had had anything to eat for a very long period of time,” Lindsay explained.

“The audience only had pretzels. Everyone needed to eat real food.”
