The Queen’s former aide just threw some serious shade at Meghan’s NYC Baby Shower
One of the Queen’s former aides has shown some major shade at the OTT New York baby shower that Meghan Markle threw in February.
“Baby showers, it’s very much an American thing,” Dickie Arbiter told Us Weekly. “We don’t do it here in the U.K. It was a bit over the top in terms of expense and the way she got there.”
The Duchess of Sussex is said to have spent US$200,000 on the celeb-packed extravaganza, according to Vanity Fair.
There was also talk about the pregnant duchess having another baby shower in the U.K. so Meghan’s friends and family over the pond could celebrate with her, but Dickie isn’t sure whether this is likely to occur. “That’s something they have to answer,” he said. “Meghan is American and she does things the American way.”
