When Disney announced that they were creating a High School Musical television series, fans were quick to question whether any of the original movie cast would be making an appearance.
The first HSM movie was released 12 years ago and kicked off careers for Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.
Hudgens, 28, has responded to questions about her return to the franchise.
“I don’t know!” the actress and singer told Cosmopolitan US when asked if she would appear in the TV series. “I mean, we’ll see. If they ask, who knows.”
Whether she stars in the show or not, Hudgens says she supports it and any other musical.
“I grew up watching musicals. I love musicals,” she said, “So I feel like the longer we can keep them alive, the better.”
Fans will have to wait until 2019 for the show to air.
