Who is Sarah Jessica Parker married to?
Sarah Jessica Parker has been married to Ferris Bueller's Day Off star Matthew Broderick since May 1997.
First crossing paths in November 1991 at the Naked Angels Theatre Company, founded by Sarah's brothers Toby and Pippin, the pair went on to star together in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times prior to opening night, Sarah described her new beau as "the funniest fellow I've met in my whole life."
"He's so bright, so handsome. I think he's the most handsome man I've seen in my life and he inspires me. I'm mad for him."
Tying the knot in New York's Angel Orensanz Synagogue on May 19, 1997, the couple celebrated their romance in a fairly intimate ceremony by celebrity standards, with 100 of their nearest and dearest filling the venue.
Five years after their big day, Sarah and Matthew welcomed their first child, son James Wilkie, on October 28, 2002. In 2009, the couple welcomed their two twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha, via surrogate on June 22.
After 20 years as a couple, Sarah opened up on her marriage with Matthew, sharing an insight into their relationship dynamic to The Telegraph.
"We've been together for 20 years and you have good days, you have decent days, and you have bad days. That's a marriage. That's a relationship. That's a friendship even. Relationships outside of marriage run the same course," she shared.
"If you're in it for the long haul and you want meaningful relationships, you are going to go through lots of different periods."
Celebrating their 20-year wedding anniversary in May 2017, Sarah shared a heartwarming portrait of the couple to Instagram, writing, "It flew by baby. Good golly I love you."
In a full-circle moment, the Hollywood couple returned to the Broadway stage in February 2020 for their new show Plaza Suite.
With the production paused as a result of the pandemic, the couple are set to return to the theatre stage on January 17 at London's Savoy Theatre.
Praising his partner both on and off stage, Matthew told The Telegraph in January 2024, "Her way of working is very compatible for me. I find her very easy to work with, and I'm very impressed by her. I think she's tremendously good."
Matthew also revealed his first impression of his wife of almost 30 years, telling the publication, "The first time I met her, I was very struck by her. She was very special. Somebody you wanted to look at."
