When is Boxing Day?
Boxing Day is the day after Christmas on December 26, although many brands that take part in the sales event are launching their deals early and even extending into the New Year.
Is it cheaper to buy on Boxing Day?
Boxing Day offers a great opportunity to shop big on all of your favourite brands, and it means you can buy those things that didn’t quite make it off the Christmas list this year.
There is no set discount across every brand but there are some unmissable deals to keep your eyes peeled for. This year, we’re seeing some deals offer up to 80 per cent off the original recommended retail price (RRP)!
Are Boxing Day sales as good as Black Friday?
It really depends! The great thing about Black Friday is it is now an internationally recognised sales period so you can score deals on some of your favourite US-based brands, as well as those in Australia. The timing also means Black Friday is popular for buying presents, while Boxing Day is ideal for treating yourself and getting ready for the New Year.
Boxing Day is also mainly celebrated in Commonwealth countries. This means that heaps of amazing Aussie, UK and New Zealand labels take part in the sales period so it’s a great opportunity to save big.
