The other Bachelor contestants began to pick up on her constant talk of China.
"I'm feeling like Kristen has been paid by China to promote their country the way she's going on and on about it," joked Rachael Arahill - who turned up to the first meeting in a wedding dress.
One viewer agreed with the 23-year-old personal trainer, tweeting:
"Rachael saying 'i feel like Kristen has been paid by China to promote their country' i was thinking the same thing! She could do a tourism ad for China."
Other viewers started to notice it as well, taking to Twitter to make jokes about Kristen.
"Fun Fact: Kristen is a sleeper agent for the Chinese tourism department," one user tweeted.
"Was Kristen hired by the Chinese touring industry to subtly get Australians over there?" wrote another.
While not every contestant made a great first impression last night - Keely and Sophie were unfortunately sent home in the first rose ceremony - some have already made sparks fly with Matt.
Elly Miles, a sweet nurse from Newcastle, seemed to bond with the Bachelor this most.
Matt gave the 24-year-old the golden ticket - asking her to accompany him to his home in Melbourne.
"I am really enjoying getting to know you and I want that to continue because I feel like there could be something special here," he told her.
"You give me butterflies and at the same time, you make me feel very relaxed. I feel like we've known each other for a long time. It would be my pleasure if you take the golden ticket and accept this rose."
Naturally, Elly was thrilled and admitted that she was especially looking forward to getting to know the gorgeous Bachie away from the other contestants (no doubt due to the countless awkward interceptions from some of the girls last night).
