After the unbelievable success of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Christopher McQuarrie— who helmed the 2018 film, along with 2015’s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation— has confirmed another two sequels are coming our way!
And you bet Tom Cruise will return as Agent Ethan Hunt for Mission Impossible 7 and 8. The three-time Academy Award nominee has been playing Hunt since the first Mission Impossible in 1996.
Yesterday, Cruise took to Twitter to confirm that the next two films will drop in the Summer of 2021 and the Summer of 2022.
According to Variety, McQuarrie, who will be shooting the two films back to back, is about to start writing the script while Cruise is shooting Top Gun: Maverik. Filming should begin sometime this year.
