Luckily, we think this particular lady was pulling matt’s leg, but for anyone not entirely sure what exactly an astrophysicist is, Matt gave us a brief explanation.
"As an astrophysicist, I get to do research to try and find another planet for future generations to live on," the sexy single revealed.
"I'm really proud of what I've achieved in my career so far, but at the end of the day, you can't have a cuddle with a PhD."
Last week Matt delighted fans by posting his first Bachelor-related post to his account, @mrmattagnew.
"Flying through space to nail a three point super hero landing? Just ticking off some childhood dreams on my way to finding love! @thebachelorau#thebachelorau" he captioned a picture of himself looking suited and booted whilst holding a bunch of red roses.
And The Bachelor star treated us to a second picture today, this time of himself sitting on a giant replica of the moon.
“To say that I’m over the Moon would be an understatement. I can’t wait to go on this wild ride!” he wrote.
