Veteran Australian actress Moya O’Sullivan who is best known for her role as Marlene Kratz on Neighbours has passed away at age 91.
According to Daily Mail, Australia’s ‘favourite mum and grandmother’ was paid tribute to today by the shows executive producer Jason Herbison.
He said: “Moya was a legend of the Australian film and television industry. Everyone at Neighbours has fond memories of her and we are saddened to hear of her passing.”
In his statement, Herbison’s also confirmed that she was pronounced dead on January 16.
A tribute in The Sydney Morning Herald read: “Much loved by all, especially by her brother Peter, sister-in-law Karen, aunt to Mark, Cait and Bridget, great aunt to Phoebe and Ursela, grandmother to Harriet and James.”
Fans have also taken to social media to honour the late actress.
O’Sullivan played her role on the hit soapie between 1994 and 1997.
She also appeared in other popular Australian TV shows like Home and Away, Sons and Daughters, A Country Practice, and All Saints.
The star was laid to rest an Edgecliff Church in NSW on Sunday 28th January.
