Carlin shared the news of his break up with Angie via a similar video to his Instagram Stories claiming "it’s for the best individually."
"Simply just wanting the best for her and wanting the best for me and being the best version of yourself is very important and, as some people already knew from previous posts, my mental health had taken a bit of a left turn and I simply want to be the best version of myself or be able to give the best version of me to Angie,” he said in the clip.
The fitness trainer also uploaded a cryptic post shortly after the break up announcement and said that he wasn't "looking back on what is or what could have been."
"I run the race, eyes fixed ahead on the blessings to come. Not looking back on what is or what could have been. Ready to take ahold of whatever this life has next for me," he captioned a snap of himself shirtless running on a beach.
Angie meanwhile has kept relatively quiet since the break up but shared a similarly cryptic Instagram post after having her eyebrows made over.
"So good to start feeling like the old Ang again. Working, loving, healing and surrounding myself with people who accept me for me!" she wrote in the caption.
In a statement to the Daily Telegraph, the former Bachelorette confessed: "Chemistry doesn't always equal compatibility. We gave it our all and it didn't work out."
"Our values didn't align. Both Carlin and I will never give personal details. Out of respect for Carlin I will not reveal the personal workings of our relationship."
In an exclusive chat with WHO, Bachelorette runner-up Timm Hanly who's set to star on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise said that since he still speaks to Carlin.
"I used to speak to them a bit, but I just let them do their thing," he said of Carlin and Angie.
"It’s a bit weird. You go from being so close to someone. I was so close to both of them that it’s weird."
