While Adele’s last album seemed to be an homage to the heartbreak of divorce, her new relationship with Rich Paul is stronger than ever.
The international popstar has revealed to Elle UK that she hopes to marry Rich in the coming years, and that their relationship is like something she has never previously experienced.
“I’ve never been in love like this. I’m obsessed with him,” she told the publication.
She also added that she “absolutely” wants to marry him, although the pair are not yet engaged.
“I’m just in love! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married,” she said.
Adele and Rich had been friends for some time before taking up together, and announcing their relationship publicly in 2021.
Rich is an American sports agent, and Adele’s appearance at a number of basketball games in the US had fans theorizing that she might have been dating a basketball player, a la Khloe Kardashian.
But eventually, she posted a photo of herself and Rich to her socials after they attended a friend’s wedding together.
Rich’s role representing the likes of LeBron James meant he wasn’t intimidated by Adele’s stratospheric level of fame.
In fact, it seems he helped her come to better terms with it.
In an anecdote she recalled for the profile, Adele told him she’d like to holiday in Italy, but was afraid of the paparazzi.
“He was like, “you would let that stop you from going to the place that you most want to go on vacation?”,” she said.
“He’s like, “for one photograph, what’s the worst that can happen?”.”

The couple are also working to blend their two families, having acquired a home together in Los Angeles that they’re now renovating.
Adele has one son, Angelo, while Rich has three kids, including a daughter at university.
“I definitely want more kids,” she revealed to Elle.
“I’m a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music. But right now, all I got in my brain is Vegas,” she said, referring to her upcoming residency in Las Vegas.
Adele recently came under fire for cancelling the same residency the day before it was due to premiere.
She told Elle that the set-up felt wrong to her.
“There was just no soul in it… the stage set-up wasn’t right. It was very disconnected from me and my band, and it lacked intimacy. And maybe I tried too hard to give it those things in such a controlled environment,” she said.
