Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska ended their Bachelor journey together, head over heels for one another. But now that the dust has settled and the show is wrapped, are the happy couple still…happy?
Despite all the drama, it’s been confirmed that Locky and Irena are still very much together.
Posting to Instagram shortly after the finale, the former Survivor star shared a loved-up tribute to his Bachie leading lady, confirming just how together they are.
“I have always listened to my heart and it has lead me to this point. As hard as it was to say good bye. I was also saying hello to my future wife, baby mumma and best friend. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Here is to one crazy adventure and so so many more with you babe,” Locky captioned a sweet photo of himself and his new girlfriend.
Irena shared the same official snap, and gushed about her new man.
“I got the man of my dreams and I couldn’t be happier. I love you so much @locklangilbert,” the nurse wrote in her caption.
The couple also shared a candid video thanking fans for their love and support and revealing how excited they are to go public with their love.
“I guess for starters we just want to say a big thank you to everyone for watching, it’s been a crazy year but we’re definitely happy,” Locky began before the couple admitted they were slowly making their way through all of the messages they’d received.
“So excited for the future, I can’t wait for us to start living our life together finally,” Irena added. “It’s been such a long process and now we finally get to be together and finally get to start our life together.”
“It’s been so long and we’ve had all these plans and it’s been delayed and delayed and delayed but now we finally get to tell everyone that we’re in love and get on with our normal life,” Locky explained.
In the video, Locky and Irena also shared what they’ll be doing first off now that they don’t have to hide away from the public.
“First thing that we’re going to do – just be with each other in the outdoors, just normal, go for a hike, go for a camp, just anywhere out in nature because I think that’s where we’re both happy.
“Little road trip, phones switched off,” a grinning Irena chimed in.
The couple then signed off with a sweet kiss – so it looks like they’re the real deal.
It’s not a total surprise that Locky and his leading lady are still together – as the news was confirmed ahead of the finale by Ten themselves.
“Locky and his chosen lady are still together and very happy,” a spokeswoman told The Daily Telegraph a week before the news became official.
The Bachelor himself even revealed a sweet insight into his and Irena’s secret relationship back in August when the show was about to premiere.
“It’s an amazing feeling – I don’t think I’ve felt love like this before. I wake every morning and the love is stronger and stronger, I can see so far into the future [with her],” said at the time.
Locky professed his love for new girlfriend Irena in an emotional grand finale that saw him make the agonising choice between her and runner-up Bella Varelis.
“When I think about our future together, I’m, like, so excited and, like, I can’t wait to just travel the world and, like, make all your dreams come true. Irena… ..I’m so in love with you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” an emotional Locky confessed.
Irena shared her own thoughts, adding: “I could picture this moment, like, the moment I met you. I just saw myself here with you. And, like, what a crazy ride we’ve already had together.”
