Bec Judd is famous for her enviable fashion and adorable family, but her love story with AFL player husband Chris Judd is one for the story books.

How did Chris and Bec Judd meet?
Before she met her footy fella, Rebecca Twigley was living overseas, working as an international model.
Sometimes the best things aren’t far from home though and it was on a trip back to Perth that she met her future husband.
Speaking to Show and Tell in 2017, the now 41-year old influencer revealed she’d come home for a quick visit when she and a girlfriend headed to a Sunday session at the Cottesloe Pub.
Aged just 19, Bec admitted that there was an “instant connection” when she met Chris, who had just started playing AFL.
“It was kind of instant. I don’t know if it was for him but it was for me,” she said.
“It’s weird, I didn’t really have lots of boyfriends growing up and I was very, very, very picky and I saw him and I was like ‘Damn! I like him’,” Bec told her followers on a recent Instagram Q&A.
“I was a bit drunk, I’d had a load of red wine so I was quite confident because I didn’t really used to be confident with guys.”
When did Chris and Bec Judd start dating?
Soon after, Bec made the decision to move back home to Australia to pursue her university education and after dating on and off for 18 months, she and Chris finally became an official couple.
But in a chat on the We Are The Real Ones podcast, Bec revealed that Melbourne-based Chris gave her an ultimatum in the early days of their relationship.
“When we first started going out, he said, ‘Just letting you know I’m a Melbourne boy and I will be moving back very, very soon so if you’re down with that we can be together. Otherwise, if you think you’re going to live in Perth for the rest of your life, then nup,'” she revealed.
“I was like, ‘Yep, okay, I really love you, I love Melbourne, that’s cool!'”
Bec soon became a fully fledged AFL WAG and famously wore a plunging red Tarvydas gown to the 2004 Brownlow Medal ceremony.
When did Chris and Bec Judd get married?
Bec became a Judd on New Year’s Eve 2010 when she married Chris in a lavish ceremony in Melbourne.
The bride wore two J’Aton Couture gowns, one for the ceremony and one for the reception, and was 10 weeks pregnant with her and Chris’ eldest child, Oscar.
She’s recently talked about how she’d like to get married all over again and do it properly (with champagne).
“I feel like I missed out on the fun of our wedding,” she told The 3pm Pickup radio show.
“I reckon we do it all again. Do the whole lot … I want to have fun and drink at my wedding and be hungover and not remember it.”
And while the former model was happy to be pregnant she said it was also very overwhelming.
“We lived a pretty self-absorbed lifestyle in Prahran – shopping, eating, heading out to bars and clubs. How the hell would a baby fit into that lifestyle?!?” Bec wrote in her book The Baby Bible.
How many children does Bec Judd have?
Oscar was born in July 2011 and the couple also share daughter Billie (born in February 2014) and twin boys Tom and Darcy (born in September 2016).
Juggling work and four kids may seem hectic, but Bec has also revealed the secret to her and Chris’ marriage – a non negotiable date night.
“We have a date night every Wednesday,” she said in The Baby Bible.
“We book in the babysitter and Chris is really busy and so am I [but] even if it’s just playing tennis, it’s really important to have that time together.”
Seeing as she described her hubby as “the best baby-making bloke on the planet”, we reckon these two are rock solid. Especially as he even shaved her legs for her during her pregnancy with the twins when she couldn’t reach!
Are Chris and Bec Judd still together?
Keeping fans up-to-date with their picture-perfect family in recent years, Bec has documented her children’s birthdays, wedding anniversaries and even the addition of a dog to the brood!
In September 2023, Bec took to Instagram to pay tribute to Chris as he celebrated his 40th birthday. “Happy birthday to the love of my life,” she captioned a montage video.
“20 years together and we’ve done some epic stuff and created some beautiful little people. Here’s to the next 40 💗”
The couple celebrate their 14-year wedding anniversary in December 2024 – here’s to many more years of marriage!
