One month after announcing their divorce, Cardi B and Offset have taken to social media together to welcome their third child.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Cardi B shared a carousel of images taken shortly after the birth of their newborn, captioning the announcement, “the prettiest lil thing 🌸🌸 9/7/24 💖💖💖”
While the former couple did not reveal the name of their littlest family member, the pair shared a snap together as a new family of five, with Offset cradling their newest arrival alongside their two eldest children, Kulture and Wave.
News of the couple’s third child comes just over two weeks after the couple. who announced their divorce in early August 2023, reunited to celebrate their son Wave’s third birthday at the American Dream water park in East Rutherford, New Jersey for what she described as a “last-minute party.”
The exes were joined by their kids Wave and Kulture, 6. Offset’s sons Jordan Cephus, 14, Kody Cephus, 9, and daughter Kalea Cephus, 9, from previous relationships also posed with the former couple in a family photo at the SpongeBob-themed event.
Cardi B and Offset’s divorce was previously announced on August 1 – the same day she announced she was pregnant.
Taking to Instagram at the time, the 31-year-old rapper showed off her baby bump in a revealing red dress – just hours after news broke that she was filing for divorce.
“With every ending comes a new beginning!” she captioned the photo before writing words addressed to her child.
“I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!
“Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!
“I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do!
“It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

Are Cardi B and Offset still married?
Cardi B and Offset, who have had a tumultuous relationship, are headed for divorce.
The pair secretly wed in September 2017 but their union has been an on-again, off-again one.
A year after their wedding, they announced they were breaking up because they were “out of love” and the marriage was “irretrievably broken”.
But in 2019, they were back together again. Then Cardi B filed for divorce in 2020, but (bear with us!) the pair reconciled and stayed together until 2023, when they began publicly accusing each other of infidelity.
In December 2023 Cardi B confirmed to her Instagram followers that she was single and keen to start 2024 “fresh (and) open”, and on July 31, 2024, Page Six broke the news that she had filed for divorce.
“They’ve grown apart,” a source told Page Six. “That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else. This is something she wants to do.”
A representative for Cardi B told the Associated Press: “This is not based on any one particular incident, it has been a long time coming and is amicable.”
Who is the father of Cardi B’s baby?
It’s not made clear in Cardi B’s pregnancy reveal post, who the father is but most media outlets are claiming that Offset is the father of Cardi B’s third child, citing the sentence “with every ending comes a new beginning” is a clear reference to her relationship with Offset.
The 31-year-old has requested primary custody of the former couple’s children including their baby on the way and for Offset to pay child support.
How many children does Cardi B have?
Cardi B and Offset have three children – daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 2, and a newborn (Offset also has three other children from previous relationships – sons Jordan, 14, and Kody, 8, and daughter Kalea, 9).
Kulture, full name Kulture Kiari Cephus, was born in July 2018.
“My dude named the baby,” Cardi B later told Ellen DeGeneres (Offset’s real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus).
After giving birth, Cardi B pulled out of a tour with Bruno Mars to spend time with her new daughter.
“I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind.”
Son Wave, full name Wave Set Cephus, was born in September 2021.
In early 2024, Cardi B confessed to Rolling Stone that she had been “afraid” at first to have a boy, but the feeling disappeared as soon as she laid eyes on Wave.
“It’s like it’s meant to be. The stars aligned,” she said.
“My kids are the best decision I ever made.”
