American Horror Story star Emma Roberts is engaged – and the way she announced the news to her fans was adorable.
On July 16, the Scream Queens actress took to Instagram to share the news that she was engaged to her boyfriend Cody John.
Showing a picture of the pair looking cosy with her diamond engagement sparkler on display, Roberts, 33, wrote: ‘’Putting this here before my mum tells everyone,’’ adding a red love heart emoji.
Roberts, who has more than 20 million Instagram followers, was poking a bit of fun at her mum Kelly Cunningham, who famously shared the first pictures of Roberts’ son Rhodes on Instagram without telling her daughter.
Fans went wild over the news of Roberts’ engagement, with the post attracting one million likes and 5000 comments within hours,
Celebrity friends to wish the couple well included Scream Queens co-star Lea Michele and fellow actresses Nina Dobrev and Ashley Tisdale.

Cody John is also an actor, best known for his roles in TV series such as Wu-Tang: An American Saga (2021), The Rookie, and In The Dark (both 2022).
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in October 2022, a source said John, 34, made Roberts ‘’very happy’’.

While it’s not clear how the couple first met, we do know they started dating in 2022 after Roberts split from her ex, Garrett Hedlund.

In a recent interview with People, Roberts gave a rare insight into their union.
Asked when she last cried, Roberts said: ‘’I watched the movie The Iron Claw with my boyfriend and the two of us were sobbing.’’
