Who is JoJo Siwa dating in 2025?

JoJo has confirmed her relationship with Big Brother U.K. costar Chris Hughes.

“It’s not platonic anymore,” JoJo shared with The Guardian, “and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way.”

“For me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now,” she shhared. “Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I’ve never [before] been in pain from smiling so much.”

The singer had debuted their relationship with Aussie creative Kath Ebbs in late 2024. The pair met through musician G Flip, bonded over their shared queer identities, and eventually fell in love thanks to their mutual obsession with… line dancing.

“[Jojo and G Flip are] really good friends, and one night we just all went and hung out,” Kath previously told PedestrianTV. “Then me and Jo were friends for like, six months after that.”

While JoJo and Kath kept their romance relatively low-key online, Kath opened up about their intense emotional connection in an interview with the publication, describing JoJo as someone they’ve never felt closer to.

“I’ve never had such an emotional connection,” they shared. “Obviously she’s objectively beautiful, but it was just like such an intense emotional connection.”

However, the pair made headlines in April 2025 after Kath claimed JoJo dumped them following a stint on Celebrity Big Brother UK.

“I don’t even know where to begin. I’m filming this in a complete state of shock,” the Aussie shared in a TikTok video.

“I honestly feel so numbed out right now and so disorientated [sic] that I feel like the only thing I have to do to place this situation is to finally address it after two weeks of sitting back, watching certain things unfold and not being able to get any clarity from the person that it involved — who was, what I thought — one of the great loves of my life.”

“I flew across the world to support and be there and hold that person in whatever they would be experiencing, leaving such a wild experience, and instead, I was dumped at the afterparty, with Chris in the next room,” they continued.

“I was told that there are confused feelings there, and that she had realised in the house that I wasn’t the person that [she] wanted to spend the foreseeable future with, which has honestly been so shocking, that I feel kind of subhuman right now…I feel incredibly humiliated, and I feel a bit embarrassed.”

The following day, JoJo broke her silence, appearing alongside Chris on This Morning.

“I’ll be honest, that was not a plan,” she said of the split. “That was not an intention, that was not supposed to happen like that.”

“Initially, I was told that the wrap party was something they didn’t want to attend, and then about an hour into the wrap party, they decided they wanted to. And so I was genuinely just going to have a conversation before, and then it just led to another.”

“One thing led to another,” JoJo explained, “and that conversation did take place there.”

Although JoJo’s initial comments did not offer an extensive insight into her split, the Dance Moms star later clarified speculation that she had split from Kath as a result of a romantic connection with Chris.

“There’s so many reasons why my breakup happened. Christopher is not one of them,” JoJo shared on the April 30, 2025, episode of The Viall Files podcast.

“I actually told this to Kath, like, ‘Maybe it would be easier if he was,’ be he is not one of them, so if you’re going to share the story, share the story… Don’t paint it out to look like I cheated on you with him because I did not, I would not, and I have not.”

Reflecting on her decision to split with the Australian, JoJo added that it was a photo of her and her family at Disney World that first made her question the future of her relationship, with the 21-year-old recalling her unhappiness at the time.

“It just opened a can of worms that really did me in. The second that I had time to think… My brain just started to run with so many things that I have been okay with, that I have tolerated, that nobody should. It put a lot of things in perspective for me.”

JoJo also confirmed that the pair did split at the Big Brother wrap party, however, she revealed that she had planned to discuss her relationship with Kath the following day.

“That upset them, rightfully so. They wanted to be with me, but I knew I wasn’t in a place for them,” she shared, adding, “Anyway, by the sixteenth time somebody asks you, ‘Are you happy? Do you want to end things?’ You’re going to just spew your guts.”

“I was honest and I said, ‘If you ask me tomorrow, I don’t know my answer. If you ask me right now, my answer is yes,’ and then that obviously was taken as a yes, and it was a yes.”

Who is Chris Hughes?

Rumours continued after the show, following news that JoJo had split from Kath, and Chris has now spoken on This Morning, as JoJo made a surprise visit to the studio, addressing the rumours.

“As JoJo appeared on screen, Chris said, “That’s my Joelle [JoJo], I know that voice. That’s a voice that gives you energy in the morning, let me tell you, it’s just what I needed today.”

Chris went on to share that JoJo would be coming for a visit to the Cotswolds to spend time with his family soon.

“Next week we have some time off, she’s taking some Chris time, ‘Christopher time’ as she calls it and we’re going to have a lovely time together.”

JoJo went on to say, “I will say he is up there as one of my favourite people in the entire world, he makes me happier than I think I have ever been. He makes me feel so full as me, he’s a really good one that has been the most incredible addition to my life.”

Eagle-eyed fans have also watched the hard launch on Instagram as JoJo celebrated her birthday with Chris. Keep swiping as if the hand on the thigh isn’t the confirmation we needed that this isn’t just platonic, then I don’t know what is.

And of course now we have the confirmation from JoJo that “it’s not platonic anymore”.

Did JoJo Siwa come out again on Big Brother UK?

In a candid moment on the show, JoJo sat down with fellow queer housemate Danny Beard and shared a major personal update: “I’ve always told myself I’m a lesbian, but I think being here, I’ve realised, ‘Oh no, I’m not a lesbian, I’m queer’.”

She added that she’s “switching letters” within the LGBTQIA+ acronym, a sentiment Danny welcomed with a sweet, supportive kiss.

It wasn’t the first time JoJo’s sexuality had been a topic of conversation in the Big Brother House. Earlier this season, JoJo was the target of homophobic comments from fellow housemate Mickey Rourke, prompting widespread outrage. After also displaying aggression towards Chris Hughes, Mickey was swiftly booted from the house.

Kath took to social media to support JoJo at the time, calling the comments “beyond disgusting” and reaffirming their partner’s strength.
