Diamonds might be a girl’s best friend, but few people thought Kim Kardashian would make such an elaborate show of them as she testified in Paris on May 13.
But she was dripping in jewels as she faced the group who allegedly terrorised her in 2016.
The reality star, 44, was tied up in her hotel suite during Paris Fashion Week in October 2016 and held at gunpoint as a gang rummaged through her belongings, stealing millions of dollars of jewellery

“I was certain that was the moment that he was going to rape me,” Kardashian testified, recalling how a robber pulled her towards him while she was only in a bathrobe.
“I absolutely did think I was going to die.”
Earlier, fashion designer Simone Harouche, who was with Kardashian during the ordeal, recalled to the court hearing her friend screaming.
“‘I need to live.’ That is what she kept on saying. ‘Take everything. I need to live.’”
Set against a sharp black skirt suit by John Galliano, Kardashian’s $2.3 million, 52.17-carat necklace by Samer Halimeh, white gold and diamond ear cuff by Briony Raymond, and large emerald-cut diamond ring – almost identical
to the 20-carat piece stolen nearly 10 years ago – all made quite the statement.
“They were a symbol of her own return from fear to embrace an even brighter, more glamorous, future,” wrote journalist Vanessa Friedman in The New York Times.

Appearing at the Palais de Justice on May 13, Kim stood alongside her mother, Kris Jenner.
According to the BBC, Kim’s testimony was interrupted by the defendants apologising.
““I do appreciate it, I forgive you,” she said during her testimony. “But it doesn’t change the emotion, the feelings and the trauma and the way my life has changed.”
“I just want to thank everyone, especially the French authorities, for allowing me to testify today and tell my truth,” she told the court.
Since the robbery, one of the two suspects who has admitted to his involvement in the crime has written a book, I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian.
Eight of the accused have denied any involvement.
