LeAnn Rimes first burst onto the music scene in 1996 when she was just 13 years old with the hit country song ‘Blue’.
Since then she’s gone on to sell millions of records worldwide and made a move into acting – which is where she met her second husband!
Rimes, who joins this year’s coaching panel on The Voice Australia, was filming the TV movie Northern Lights in 2009 when she met and fell in love with co-star Eddie Cibrian.
There was only one problem – both were married to other people at the time.
Cibrian, who has starred in CSI: Miami, Country Comfort and Third Watch, was married to model and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville when he met the country singer and actress.
Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet, whom she met when he worked as one of her back-up dancers at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2001.
By 2010, both Rimes and Cibrian had gained divorces from their first spouses – and they became engaged on Christmas Eve that year.
Their affair was splashed all over the US tabloids and was the subject of much controversy at the time, but Rimes said she couldn’t help falling in love with Cibrian.
“(I thought), this is the guy I want to marry,” she said after their very first date.
And while their love story had controversial beginnings, Rimes said she had no regrets.
“I take responsibility for everything I’ve done,” she told PEOPLE.
“I hate that people got hurt, but I don’t regret the outcome.”

The couple married in April 2011 at a private home in Los Angeles, California, in front of about 40 guests, E! reported at the time.
The wedding was kept so secret that guests initially thought they were attending an engagement party!
Does LeAnn Rimes have any children?
Rimes does not have biological children, but she is stepmother to Cibrian’s two sons, Mason and Jake, from his previous marriage to Brandi Glanville.
She did admit to ET that occasionally she did long for children.
“I get it every once in a while,” she said. “I’m trying to figure out what it is that stirs it. I haven’t figured that out yet, because every once in a while I’ll be like, ‘What is making me want a baby right now?’ Maybe one day … I mean, I love my stepkids and I’ve got plenty on my plate with them. So, I’m cool at the moment.”

“During our wedding vows, my husband vowed to watch Love, Actually with me every year,” Rimes once told Country Living.
They frequently share sweet Instagram posts to mark special occasions such as wedding anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, birthdays – even National Kissing Day!
The couple are also incredibly family-focused and sentimental at heart.
“My husband and I take the kids to visit Santa and take an annual photo with him, no matter how old they get,” Rimes once said.
“Santa is always a must!”
What medical condition does LeAnn Rimes have?
Rimes has had the skin condition psoriasis since she was two years old.
Psoriasis is an incurable skin condition that causes red, itchy patches to develop on the skin.
In December 2022, she had to cancel a string of shows after a bad bout of flu caused bleeding on her vocal cords due to excessive coughing.
She has also been open about her battles with anxiety and depression.
“I’ve always been open about my health challenges,” she wrote on Instagram in January 2024.
“I think it’s important to share what we are going through with one another, and on another level, for me, as someone who has a platform to be able to raise awareness for issues such as psoriasis (and) mental health.”
