Channel 10 star Narelda Jacobs and her wife Karina Natt have welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sanna.
The pair made the announcement via Instagram, sharing that “mums and dad are in awe and totally in love.” They also tagged Mitch Swanson, who took to Instagram to add: “We are so in love. Sanna Swan Jacobs Natt.”
The family’s newest addition comes after Jacobs and Nat married in August last year, 18 months after the pair made their relationship Instagram official.
The TV presenter, 48, shared the happy occasion with her followers on Instagram.
The pair held hands and gazed at each other as a celebrant declared them married under a giant floral arch in front of family, friends and celebrity guests including celebrity chef Kylie Kwong, Masterchef Australia co-host Melissa Leong, Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young, entertainment reporter Angela Bishop and comedian Luke McGregor.
Both wore white, with Jacobs opting for a form-fitting gown from Aussie label Zhivago matched with a furry capelet.
Also flying the flag for Zhivago was Natt, who wore a figure-hugging dress with exaggerated shoulders.
”Wives,” Jacobs later captioned an Instagram post announcing they were now married.
The brides then switched into equally glamorous outfits for the after-party, with Jacobs and Natt dressed in matching disco-inspired pearlescent draped mini-dresses.
The couple first debuted their relationship online in a post on World Pride Day 2023.
In the post, Jacobs revealed they had gone on their first date in February 2023 and went ‘Insta official’ just four weeks later.
”Can’t ignore the numbers,” Jacobs wrote. ”First date 23/02/23. One month later 23/03.23.”
As an adult, Jacobs has been open about her sexuality, but the TV personality grew up in a strict Christian family and didn’t come out until she was 21.
”I buried my sexuality so deep because of how we were brought up,” she told The Sydney Morning Herald in 2021.
In an interview with Mamamia, the star said: “It was a lot. And in the end it was eating me up inside to be living a lie… It took a lot of courage, a lot of courage, to come out to my mum.”
Many of Jacobs and Natt’s celebrity friends took to social media after the wedding to share their happiness at having attended the nuptials.
”One of the best things in life is bearing witness to this level of joy, love and celebration,” Melissa Leong wrote.
”The biggest and most heartfelt congratulations to these two incandescent humans. It filled my heart to celebrate your union, alongside the most extra and extraordinary gathering of friends and loved ones! My feet are sore and my heart is full. How good is love! I’m not crying, you are!”
Jacobs responded: ”We’ve been in one big beautiful love bubble! Thank you for helping make our special day even more special Mel. Love you!”
ABC journalist Jeremy Fernandez called it the ”wedding of the year”.
Posting a video montage of the special occasion on Instagram, he added: ”Congratulations Narelda and Karina!”
Who is Karina Natt?
Natt is the former chief of staff for South Australian Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young. The couple first met years ago, starting up a conversation in the ABC green room before an episode of Q&A. They quickly became friends before things turned romantic. Natt moved from Adelaide to Sydney in 2023 to work on The Voice referendum projects with Jacobs.
