Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon quietly got divorced from ex-husband Jim Toth in 2023 – but now she’s gone public with a new boyfriend!
Witherspoon, 48, is dating a new man who has nothing to do with the entertainment industry.
In May 2024, unverified gossip site Deux Moi noted sightings of the actress with a “mystery man” in New York.
Celebrity-spotters described him as “tall and lean … (with) brown hair starting to turn grey.”
According to The Daily Mail, that “mystery man” is 56-year-old German financier Oliver Haarmann, a founding partner of private equity investment firm Searchlight Capital Partners.

Rumours of a new man first surfaced on gossip website Deux Moi.
Sources said they had seen Witherspoon dining out with the man at hip New York eateries Little Owl and Casa Cruz.
They were spotted arriving at a New York heliport on July 28 before heading to an apartment building together, according to The Daily Mail.
Paparazzi shots captured the pair together in New York in July, with Witherspoon looking chic in a loose black dress and high heels, and Haarmann dapper in a white shirt and blue pants.
Haarmann has two sons with ex-wife Mala Gaonkar, 54, a businesswoman who is now in a relationship with musician David Byrne.
He has a degree in history and international relations from Brown University in New York and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
A source told Life and Style that the Oscar-winning actress did not “take dating lightly”.
“After splitting from Jim, she was determined to take her time and not jump into another relationship unless she was absolutely sure,” the source said.
“She listened to her heart, and apparently, she’s now dating this guy exclusively.”

It’s understood the couple met the old-fashioned way – through friends.
“There’s still a lot of secrecy surrounding her new suitor, but Reese is having fun,” the source told Life and Style.
“She’s totally into him and optimistic about where it might be headed.”
The source claimed Witherspoon’s adult children already knew about the burgeoning romance.
“Supposedly, Ava and Deacon know all about the fellow Reese has been seeing and approve,” the source said.
“They might have already met him in New York. Jim (Toth) has moved on, and he’s encouraged Reese to get out there, too.”
After first being spotted together in July, Witherspoon and Haarmann were pictured on a date in New York in September.
Witherspoon flashed a big smile while wearing a little black dress as she and the German fiancier headed to a waiting SUV.
The couple have been spotted on several occasions recently arriving into New York together via helicopter.
Sources confirmed to People that the duo had gone from being friends to something more.
“They’re friends and it’s just casual,” an insider told the publication.

No, Witherspoon is twice-divorced. She shares two adult children, Ava, 24, and Deacon, 20, with her first husband, actor Ryan Phillippe, to whom she was married from 1999 to 2008.
She also shares a son, Tennessee, 11, with her second husband, talent agent Jim Toth, to whom she was married from 2011 to 2023.
A source told Life and Style that Witherspoon’s rumoured new man was “ticking all the boxes” and that the actress hadn’t ruled out marrying again.

Witherspoon officially filed for divorce from Toth in April 2023, a week after announcing their marriage was over.
Court documents cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.
The pair were first romantically linked in 2010, becoming engaged in December that year. They tied the knot in an intimate home ceremony in 2011 but split just before their 12th wedding anniversary.
Witherspoon told Harper’s Bazaar her divorce from Toth had been different from the end of her relationship with Phillippe, especially when it came to media coverage.
“It’s interesting what happened to me,” she said. “When I was divorced before, the tabloid media got to tell people how I was feeling or how I was processing, and it felt very out of control.”
This time, she added, she had more control of the narrative.
