Sydney Sweeney has reportedly split from her fiancé Jonathan Davino after seven years together.
According to Us Weekly, the pair had called off their wedding before going their separate ways, however, sources speaking to the publication have since claimed that “Sydney and Jonathan are officially split.”
“They were supposed to get married this spring. The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having any further discussions about it. Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”
Neither Sydney nor Jonathan have commented publicly on the news.
Speculation surrounding the couple’s split first made headlines in early March 2025, with a source speaking to Us Weekly claiming that the pair “have been having major issues but are not fully split.”
“Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”
Throughout the couple’s relationship, the 27-year-old remained pretty tight-lipped on any details about her beau, however, her lack of commentary quickly fuelled the rumour mill after eagle-eyed fans noticed the actress quietly removing a picture of the 41-year-old from Instagram.
Who is Jonathan Davino?
Not too much is known about Jonathan, but we do know he and Sydney were first linked in 2018 when they were photographed together at an Emmys after-party in Los Angeles.
A number of publications have reported that Jonathan’s family previously owned two restaurants and are now the owners of numerous vaporizer packaging companies; however, Sydney dispelled the rumours in an interview with Glamour UK in December 2023.
“He’s not a restaurateur,” she told the publication. “I have no idea where that came from. He’s also not the heir of a pizza company. He’s a business guy. He’s from Chicago.”
His real job is producer, and the couple produced Anyone But You together. “Jonathan is my producing partner, so he helped put the whole thing together,” she explained. “It’s really great to work with someone who knows you so well, who fully supports your ideas, your vision, and your voice.”

While it has since been widely reported that Sydney has called off her engagement, news of her potential nuptials first surfaced in March 2022. Although Sydney herself has not spoken on the news, she has been regularly spotted wearing a diamond engagement ring in the years since.
In July 2022, ET Tonight spoke to a source close to the couple who revealed they were in the process of planning their wedding.
“Sydney and Jonathan are excited to get married and are hoping to have their wedding in the spring of next year,” the source said at the time.
“I’ve been in a steady relationship for a really long time, which is not normal in this industry and not normal for my age,” she told Glamour UK in her cover interview and although she wouldn’t confirm her engagement to the publication, she did reveal that she sees herself having kids in the future.
“I think about having four kids. I dream of teaching them how to ski when they’re little and having them follow me around on adventures, taking them on hikes, teaching them how to build tree houses, just living through their imagination. That’s something I really, really look forward to.”
“I’d be crazy if I had a kid or got married before I’m 30,” she added. “I’ve gotten to that point where I think that whenever it’s going to happen, it’s supposed to happen. It’s like that one thing in life that maybe you can’t plan – the perfect timing. I love to schedule my life, I love to know everything that is going on, I like to have a plan. I like to have my whole year scheduled out.”

When news first broke about Sydney and Jonathan’s engagement, many fans were surprised by the notable age gap. At the time of their engagement, Sydney was 24 and Jonathan was 38 – which means they have a 13-year age gap.
