Calling all fellow Taylor Swift fans: here’s everything I know about TS12 and why I think it’s on the way.
Is TS12 coming?
Well… Something’s coming.
Why do I think this?
Because Taylor Nation – Taylor’s official publicity team – shared the most suspicious post on Instagram on August 11, 2025.
“Thinking about when she [Taylor] said “See you next era…” ❤️🔥,” the caption read.
As for the pictures, there were 12 (!) snaps from The Eras Tour and in every single one Taylor is wearing an orange costume…
Hello?! Orange has long been rumoured to be the colour for TS12 (my fellow Swifties, will know each Taylor album/era is associated with a colour).
Furthermore, also on August 11, the official Instagram for New Heights – Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast – shared that they are going to release “a special episode with a VERY speical guest” on August 13, 2025 – the 13th! AKA Taylor’s lucky number.
(PSA for Australians, the episode will drop at 9am AEST on August 14.)
Not to mention, the picture that went along with this announcement had an ORANGE background and featured a silhouette that looks a lot like Ms Swift…
I’m calling it now: Taylor is the special guest and she’ll anounce TS12 during the New Heights episode. I honestly think she’ll even release a lead single; at least, that’s what I’m hoping!!!
And to make a total clown of myself, I also reckon Sabrina Carpenter will feature on one track from TS12 as one of the 12 photos Taylor Nation posted, was of Sabrina joining Taylor for a song during The Eras Tour‘s surprise set.
UPDATE: Taylor’s official website now has an orange background and is counting down to something! The countdown will end on August 12, 2025 at 2.12pm AEST.
Have there been other Easter eggs?
Well, we all know Taylor loves an Easter egg.
But aside from Taylor Nation’s and New Heights’ respectively suspicious posts, there’s only been a few other things that have hinted TS12 might be on the way.
One is that Taylor debuted a brand new logo in June 2025 when she announced that she’d bought the masters to her first six albums – Taylor has in the past changed her official logo ahead of releasing a new album.
Another potential Easter egg is that on July 15, 2025, HITS Daily Double (a reliable music industry publication) reported that there were “seismic rumblings of a new Taylor [Swift album].”
Hours later, this line was deleted from their article…
What does TS12 mean for Taylor Swift?
As Taylor is yet to announce the name of her 12th studio album, Swifties have dubbed it ‘TS12’.
This is quite common.
For instance, before Taylor announced the name of The Tortured Poets Department, we all called it TS11, and before Taylor announced the name of Midnights, we called it TS10 – you get the idea.
