Chrissy Teigen admitted to getting liposuction on her armpits to remove extra fat.
“I had an armpit sucked out, which was one of the best things,” the model, 31, told Refinery29. “It’s a big secret, but I don’t care. It was nine years ago or so. And I had two inches to my armpit. Now it’s back though, so now I’ve gotta pay for [liposuction] again.”
“It was so easy. It made me feel better in dresses; I felt more confident. It was the dumbest, stupidest thing I’ve ever done. The dumbest, but I like it, whatever. I have no regrets, honestly.”
Teigen was speaking with editors at a launch event for her new makeup palette with Becca Cosmetics, and she jokingly added that she’s had plastic surgery everywhere on her face, except for her cheeks.
After several news outlets picked up the quote, Teigen emphasised on Twitter that it was all a joke.
“Reminder to never ever joke, ever,” she tweeted. “(I did do the armpits, no regrets except it clearly came back)”
And she joked that if she was to redo her body with tons of plastic surgery, her butt would be on the to-do list.
“You think I’d have this ass if I’d done extensive work?” she joked. “Like who would ask for this ass.”
Teigen is known for being extremely open about her body, and often shares photos of her stretch marks on social media.
“My thighs have tributaries,” she posted on Snapchat, in August, four months after giving birth to daughter Luna.
