She’s dropped more than 50 kilos since she first shot to fame as Jono Pittman’s blonde bride on the second season of Married at First Sight. But for former reality TV star Clare Verrall, this was just the beginning of her drastic transformation.

The 36-year-old took to Instagram on Tuesday to share that she’d swapped out her trademark honey-coloured tresses in favour of chocolate brown.
“New hair, who dis? #Brunette,” she captioned the smiley selfie, her coral lippie and blue eyes standing out against her leopard-print sweater.
Loads of her 74k followers commented on the snap, complementing the self-proclaimed “crazy dog lady” on her fresh new look.
“🙌🙌🙌 you look $500 😘,” one wrote.
“Lovely change 💕” added a second. “Best yet! 🙌🏻,” weighed in another.
No stranger to dabbling with hair dye, Clare has previously rocked deep maroon and fire engine red locks.
Back in June, she posted about undergoing a physical transformation, including getting liposuction around her inner and outer thighs, hips, stomach, waist and knees. Via her Instagram Stories, she shared a snap taken directly after the procedure, expressing her excitement to ditch her “saddle bags and side butt.”
In a previous interview with New Idea, the real estate recruiter shared that she weighed 119kg at her heaviest and was ordering three pizzas a day – a direct result of her shattered self-confidence following her failed relationship with her on-screen ‘groom.’
Fans of the show would remember meeting Clare on her wedding day when Jono told the cameras she was “not what [he] ordered.”
“She’s basically the opposite of what I expected to walk down the aisle,” he said, admitting that he preferred petite brunettes over tall blondes. “When you have someone in your mind for such a long time, you’re pretty set that they’re gonna look like that.”
Today, Clare finally feels comfortable in her skin. She’s adopted a healthy eating regime, does regular exercise and has let go of all of her resentment towards Jono.
“For a long time I was scared of being vulnerable again,’ she explains. “I still have a curvy body with rolls, wrinkles and cellulite, but I have totally accepted this and no longer need validation from others. I’m larger now than when I was on the show, but I am more confident than ever.”
