Australia’s golden couple Cody Simpson and Emma McKeon have apparently split according to his sister, Alli, who confirmed the rumours on The Morning Show.
The couple, who began dating in April 2022, first sparked break-up rumours when they appeared to be spending an increasing amount of time apart.
However, adding confusion to the situation, the pair shared separate Instagram photos both from Melrose Place Farmers Market in Los Angeles on Monday.
Cody, 29, posted a snap of him eating a punnet of blueberries, with fans convinced Emma took it thanks to her own Instagram story with images from the same area. However, they did not tag each other or mention one another in the posts.
While the couple continue to keep fans on their toes, lets take a look back at their relationship.

April 2022: Nice To Meet You
Although we doubt Simpson sang McKeon a line from his hit song Nice To Meet You when they first locked eyes from across the room, the pair did begin dating in April 2022.
The (former?) couple kept their relationship totally out of the public eye for the first two years and only announced their union after the two-year mark. Simpson shared a sweet tribute for their anniversary and broke many hearts doing so!
May 2022: First public appearance
In May 2022, the couple were first seen out and about, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The pair grew close while training for the Commonwealth Games where Simpson made his debut as part of the Australian swim team.
The outlet also claimed that the pair had moved in together on the Gold Coast while they trained for the sporting tournament.
July 2022: Insta official
Arguably the most important step in a modern-day relationship, rumours were finally confirmed when Simpson posted a photo dump on Instagram from a trip to Spain they took together.
“A brief rendezvous in Barcelona with my love. @emmamckeon,” he simply captioned the post.
The post absolutely blew up and received more than 70,000 likes.

July 2022: First joint interview
Simpson and McKeon discussed their romance on Channel 7’s Spotlight.
“They weren‘t at all what I was expecting,” journalist Denham Hitchcock said ahead of the interview’s release.
“Our most decorated Olympian Emma McKeon is charmingly shy and almost dismissive of her superhuman haul of 11 Olympic medals. While Cody Simpson, fresh from the states and a pop superstar life hanging with the Biebs and Hollywood royalty, is amazingly grounded, respectful and thankful for his opportunities.”
He added that the pair were “head over heels into each other.”
May 2024: Simpson celebrates McKeon
Although 2024 was a huge year for McKeon with the Olympics coming up, her beau wanted to ensure her 30th birthday didn’t get overlooked and was seen celebrating with her friends and family.
Sharing her delight, McKeon shared a sweet snap of the pair celebrating at dinner with her loved ones.
October 2025: They sell their house
In October 2025, the couple put the house that they bought together in Queensland up for sale, and although it may have been a sad moment for the pair, they made a profit.
It sold within a few weeks (45 days to be exact) and for $2.1 million, that’s a profit of $274,000 on the home.
February 2026: Cody’s sister announces split
Cody’s sister and TV personality, Alli Simpson, confirmed her brother’s split with McKeon on February 25, while chatting about the new season of her podcast So Alli.
“I don’t want to speak for either of them, this is their private time and their business and I love them both dearly,” she said, before adding: “She is like sunshine in human form, so I’m just so happy they can move forward.”
