Supermodel and activist Emily Ratajkowski rocked the internet this week as rumours swirled that she was filing for divorce from her husband of four years, Sebastian Bear-McClard.
PEOPLE were the first to confirm the news, with a source close to Emily verifying the rumour.
“They split recently. It was Em’s decision. She is doing okay,” they revealed.
“She is strong and focused on her son. She loves being a mum.”
However, the real shock of the news was claims made to Page Six that Sebastian had been unfaithful.
“He’s a serial cheater,” the source alleged. “It’s gross. He’s a dog.”
The breakup rumours began when Emily was spotted without her wedding ring – a unique rock made up of two stones, one square and one pear-shaped – which makes its absence easy to spot.
The pair tied the knot in a sudden courthouse ceremony back in 2018, only two weeks after making their romance public.
Emily famously wore a simple mustard-toned suit from Zara, and a black hat.
Prior to the split rumours, Emily and Sebastian had not been seen together for quite some time, adding more substance to the speculation.
He last made an appearance on her Instagram account more than a year ago, in May 2021, when she posted a photo of them kissing in a park to Instagram.
“Was fully preggo here and didn’t know it,” she captioned the image.
Prior to that, Sebastian was a regular feature on her account as they awaited the birth of their first child.
Emily gave birth to their son, Sylvester Apollo Bear, on March 8, 2021.
Very little is known about Sebastian, who is very low-key and apparently ‘isn’t a fan’ of social media.
An actor and film producer, he is most often spotted at events like Cannes Film Festival, promoting his work.
While it seems the relationship is over, it seems Emily remains deeply grateful for her son.
Celebrating his first birthday on social media, Em wrote: “1 year of Sly. Happy birthday to my sweet boy”.
“The most magical day of my life,” she said of his birth, adding that “he has brought me joy and magic I’d never imagined.”
