On Sunday night’s episode of Farmer Wants A Wife, Farmer Zac and his final three ladies, Grace, Maya and Mieke, went for lunch with his family, who were tasked to choose one woman for a date.
Grace was the one Farmer Zac brought home for the first 24-hour date, and things appeared to be going very well for the pair, but they lost momentum, and things between him and Maya began to heat up.
Meanwhile, Zac and Mieke only had their first solo date at the beginning of Sunday’s episode, with the apple farmer telling WHO that it was “definitely a surprise” to realise how much chemistry they had.
“I didn’t really know what to expect,” he told us. “She was obviously pretty quiet throughout the early part of the experience, and she was always there, never said a bad thing, anything like that. So, yeah, I think the connection definitely, it did surprise me.”
This left Zac feeling quite confused about his connections with all the women once he realised he could have something great with any of them.
He also admitted that he felt like he “had the blinders on for Grace quite early on”, but once he started getting to know the other women, he began to “feel for Grace” because he didn’t want to hurt her feelings as he began making connections with the other girls.
Farmer Zac feels unsure while Farmer Alex picks Eddy
Farmer Zac explained that there was “not a chance” he could have chosen one of his girls at this point in the show as Farmer Alex decides Eddy.
“I was in shambles,” he confessed. “I had no idea which direction I was going to go in. I had three wonderful ladies, and I just had no idea how to make a decision or which direction to go.
“It was the toughest time of the experience, probably those final two weeks.”
At the end of the day, Zac’s family were charmed by Maya and chose her for the next date, leaving Grace heartbroken.
Farmer Zac shares subtle hint at who he chooses
Speaking about the lunch with his family, Zac acknowledged feeling “a little bit of concern” about what they would say about the three women and whether they thought he was overlooking someone.
Grace really wanted the date after not having much time with Zac recently, but his family decided it would be Maya who got the date.
“I definitely felt bad for Grace, like it was one of those things – we built a connection pretty early on, but ever since then, we didn’t really get to spend much time together,” he explained.
“I knew they were all great ladies, and I didn’t know who they were going to pick, and yeah, it’s one of those things, with Grace, we probably needed to spend a bit more time together, because honestly we probably didn’t have enough at that stage. And yeah, there’s probably… not concerns creeping in, but just needed to really come to a decision soon, and that date might have answered a lot of questions.”
He then said something that hinted at who his final pick is.
“I think at the end of the day the person they chose for the date was, yeah, probably the right decision,” he confessed.
Hmmm, the right decision, eh? Does that mean he’s leaving with Maya?

Fans divided by the decision of Farmer Zac’s family
Many fans were happy to see that Zac’s family chose Maya, with one person writing that Maya is “perfect for him”.
“Maya is the best choice,” another added, while a third wrote, “Team Maya.”
However, others wished it was Grace, with one viewer adding, “Should have been Grace, I think Zac and she would be beautiful together.”
“Is Mieke invisible?” someone else questioned, after she got little to no airtime during the lunch.
