He’s already won 22 Grammy Awards, and received more than 50 nominations, but Kendrick Lamar was given the opportunity to win nine more when the list of nominees for the 2026 awards ceremony was released.
Lamar led the pack with the most nominations, with Lady Gaga hot on his heels (with seven) and Bad Bunny receiving six.
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber received four nods. And Addison Rae secured her first ever nomination for Best New Artist.
Responding to the news, Rae took to her Instagram Stories to share a series of selfies showing her looking shocked and amazed. She tagged the Recording Academy in the post.
Rae joins Olivia Dean, Katseye and The Marias as newcomers nominated for the Best New Artist – an award that memorably saw 2025 winner Chappell Roan use her speech to make a point which sparked a standing ovation.
“I told myself if I ever won a Grammy and got to stand up here in front of the most powerful people in music, I would demand that labels and the industry profiting millions of dollars off of artists would offer a livable wage and healthcare, especially to developing artists,” the star said.

Where are the Grammys in 2026?
The 2026 Grammys will take place on Sunday, February 1 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The event will be streamed live and on demand on Paramount +.
Why is Taylor Swift not nominated for a Grammy?
There was one person who was perceived to have been snubbed this year – Taylor Swift.
Unfortunately for fans, the star wasn’t eligible for nominations for the 2026 Grammys.
To be eligible for consideration, projects need to be released within a certain window – this year’s timeframe ran from August 31 2024 to August 30 2025.
As Taylor’s latest album Life of a Showgirl was released on October 3 2025, it simply didn’t fit the criteria to be considered.
