Starring Tessa Thompson and Emmy winner Jon Bernthal, the show follows two Georgians whose shared past becomes entangled in the aftermath of a brutal murder.

What is His & Hers about?

Set against the oppressive summer heat of Atlanta, the story centers on Anna Andrews (Thompson), a former television journalist who has become a recluse.

However, her isolation is interrupted when she overhears details of a murder in Dahlonega, the small north Georgia town where she grew up.

Drawn back into reporting, and into her own past, Anna inserts herself into the investigation.

Her presence immediately raises red flags for Detective Jack Harper (Bernthal), who begins to question her motives as she edges closer to the truth.

Yes. The series is based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel His & Hers.

While the television adaptation relocates the story to Georgia, the original novel takes place in the English village of Blackdown.

Visiting the set proved to be an unforgettable experience for the author.

“The most magical moment so far was when Feeney visited the show’s set, which ‘felt like a life highlight, not just a career highlight,’” she tells Tudum.
