The House Rules 2018 grand finalists have been announced after a very emotional reveal.
Following the renovation of Chelsea and Koa’s home by Mel and Dave, Toad and Mandy and Chiara and David’s, judges Wendy Moore, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Drew Heath returned to Home Base to give their verdicts.
Toad and Mandy were the first to secure their spot in the finals, followed by Mel and Dave.
Unfortunately, Chiara and David were sent home.
In a very close race, Mel and Dave were given a 24 out of 30, Toad and Mandy were also given a 24 out of 30, while Chiara and David only received 20 out of 30.
“Devastated. 150 million percent devastated,” David said of their elimination.
“We got out knowing we’ve done our absolute best with it, and for Chelsea and Koa,” he adds. “That’s the high we’ll go out on.”
It now comes down to either Mel and Dave or Toad and Mandy to take out the competition and take home the whopping $355,000 prize money.
The House Rules Grand Final airs Monday, 7:30pm, on Channel Seven.
