Kendall Jenner has been blasted by fans online for the very tone-deaf baby shower gift she handed to her close friend, Lauren Perez.
Lauren took to her Instagram story during the baby shower, posting a photo of a bottle of 818 Tequila – Kendall’s own alcohol company, no less – and a bouquet of purple hydrangeas.
“Auntie @kendalljenner came with the best @drink818 tequila and floral arrangements for my baby shower,” she wrote.
The photo, posted to Reddit, is being met with major backlash due to its’ clear tone-deaf nature.
While Kendall isn’t known for her worldliness (we’ve all seen her cut a cucumber), with the amount of nieces and nephews she has, surely she knows that pregnant women can’t drink?

“Not the 818 promo at the baby’s gig 🤣🤣,” one fan commented on the thread.
“A bottle of tequila and flowers? That’s what rich people get at their baby showers?” another asked.
“She brought booze for the baby?” asked a third.
“Yes. She brought alcohol for a fetus,” came a reply.
“Who brings Tequila to a pregnant friend though?”
While some were shocked at the odd gift, others rushed in to defend Kendall’s choice of present for Lauren.
“I take it you haven’t been to a Hispanic baby shower … it’s for the guests. It’s normal,” one fan shared.
“From the photos it seems there was a margarita bar with a bartender. I don’t think she brought a singular bottle of tequila,” another mused.
“Everyone saying she gifted a pregnant lady alcohol for her baby shower, as hilarious and typical of the Karjenners as that sounds.. she most likely provided free alcohol for the event, which is nice,” a patient commenter explained.
“A lot of baby showers I’ve been to have alcohol (usually champagne though), and it can get pricey if it’s a large shower.”
While all of her sisters have now had babies, Kendall remains the one member of the Kardashian clan unmoved by the idea of kids.
She had a conversation about it in the most-recent season of The Kardashians, when her mother, Kris Jenner, appeared to put some pressure on her to have a baby.
“You keep telling me, ‘You’re not getting any younger’, but guess what, mom? It’s my life,” Kendall told her.
“I don’t know if I’m ready yet,” she admitted. It’s also worth noting that Kendall is only 26.

“I still have a lot I have to figure out before I can welcome a child into my life,” Kendall said.
“I’m still just, like, enjoying life on my own and I’m okay with that right now.”
It also seems unlikely this attitude will change anytime soon, with Kendall again discussing kids in the new trailer for the next season of The Kardashians, which will premiere in September.
“This is definitely a massive birth control moment for me,” she tells the camera after her sister, Kylie, admits she hasn’t had a ‘night out’ in almost a year.
“It’s a lot!”
